September was filled with heartwarming events, exciting partnerships, and a sense of community that we’re proud to be a part of. From environmental efforts to celebrations of love, here’s a look back at some of the highlights from the last few weeks.
Weddings & Special Celebrations
September was a season of love and joy as we welcomed couples who chose our coastal haven for their wedding celebrations. With breathtaking ocean views, golden sunsets, and impeccable service, each ceremony was a truly magical experience. We also enjoyed hosting birthday parties, anniversaries, and other special events, creating unforgettable moments for our guests and their loved ones. It’s always an honour to be part of life’s most important milestones, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of so many this month.
Local Organisations Gathering
We were delighted to host many local organisations in September. From Newquay BID to Newquay Foodbank, and the Corrnwall Chamber of Commerce, where leaders and innovators from the community came together to share ideas, network, and collaborate. Supporting local businesses is a key part of our mission, and it was wonderful to welcome so many of you.
A Beach Clean with Beach Guardian
We teamed up with Beach Guardian, Fistral Beach Clean and Age UK for a beach clean that brought guests, staff, and local volunteers together. The event was a huge success, helping to preserve the natural beauty of our coastline. It was incredible to see so many people coming together with a shared commitment to protecting our environment. A special thanks to Beach Guardian for their ongoing efforts in inspiring eco-consciousness and protecting our beaches!
Macmillan Coffee Morning
On a slightly sweeter note, we hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning that brought together guests, staff, and locals to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. The Thursday Club ladies and hotel’s talented guests and staff outdid themselves, creating an array of delicious cakes and treats that added a tasty touch to a meaningful cause. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us to support Macmillan’s life-changing work.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Veryan and Gavin visited local schools to share their experiences and knowledge with students. Their talks focused on careers in hospitality, sustainability, and the importance of following one’s passion. It was a fantastic opportunity to inspire the next generation, and we were blown away by the enthusiasm and curiosity of the students. We’re committed to nurturing young talent and look forward to more opportunities to engage with the community’s youth.
